In my field of work, I see and treat so many clients daily with symptoms such as acne, unwanted hair growth and metabolic imbalance. I offer a welcoming place where women can feel relaxed and open about discussing their symptoms and how they manage these, I also hear of many women struggling with infertility and this can be a very vulnerable time for them. I have come to realise that there is very little help and evidence out there as to which supplements can actually help alleviate the symptoms of PCOS as well as clinical evidence to support which fertility supplements actually result in live birth rates.

That’s why I have teamed up with Health Medica to offer Inofolic Alpha and Impryl which are science based supplements to help with PCOS and Infertility.

Inofolic Alpha is a dietary supplement designed for women with PCOS. Inofolic Alpha contains myo-inositol, alpha-lactalbumin and folic acid.

Infertility is on the rise. There are so many contributors to fertility issues, including stress, lifestyle and environmental factors which can cause something known as Oxidative stress.

1 in 6 couples are now having to seek medical help because they cannot achieve a longed for pregnancy.

It is increasingly recognised that supplementation with the essential vitamins and micro-nutrients may be required to enhance the prospects of spontaneous pregnancy or assisting with IVF techniques.

Impryl is a conception supplement for both Men and Women. Its unique formula, made with activated micronutrients, work by delivering balanced support to the metabolism, ensuring it is optimal for fertility and for the healthy growth of a baby.

Impryl will not only assist in producing your body’s own master antioxidant ‘Glutathione’ which is needed to combat Oxidative stress, but it will offer maximum energy support through the mitochondria and provide balanced gene expression.

Clinical evidence has shown that women are 4 times as likely to conceive after taking Impryl for 6 months and Men are twice as likely.

This data was based on a group of Women and Men who were struggling with infertility for a minimum of 3 years and who had experienced at least 2 failed IVF treatments. This data is rarely available for conception supplements and that’s why Impryl is different!

Impryl is a ‘1 a day’ tablet that we recommend you taking at least 3 months before trying to conceive or starting an ART (assisted reproductive technique such as IVF).

PCOS is a common disorder affecting approximately 10% of the women in the UK.

Common symptoms of PCOS include unwanted hair growth, acne, weight issues, pregnancy complications, period problems and more.

PCOS is strongly associated with Insulin resistance which impacts between 65-80% of women with PCOS. Insulin resistance happens through a complicated mechanism which can contribute to an excess in male hormones (also known as hyperandrogenism) leading to symptoms such as acne and unwanted hair growth (hirsutism).

Research has shown that PCOS is also associated with inflammation and abnormal gut microbiome, making it difficult for PCOS sufferers to absorb the nutrients they need.

The good news is that Inofolic Alpha can help. Inofolic Alpha contains Myo-Inositol and Alpha Lactalbumin;

Myo- Inostiol

  • Extremely well tolerated
  • Helps with Insulin resistance
  • Acts as 2nd messenger to convert glucose to glycogen, reducing the free glucose in the body which can lead to weight issues

Alpha Lactalbumin

  • Reduces chronic inflammation
  • Assists absorption of myo-inositol through improved gut microbiome

Why do menopausal women become insulin resistant?

Women going through peri-menopause and menopause are more prone to insulin resistance. This is due to metabolic changes related to adrenal, thyroid and sex hormone fluctuations (particularly oestrogen) and increased difficulty in tolerating carbohydrates.

Myo-Inositol is proven to help with Insulin resistance by acting as a 2nd messenger to converting glucose to glycogen and assisting the liver and cell absorption of insulin. As the successful conversion from Glucose to Glycogen takes place, a negative feedback to the pancreas occurs, which in turn slows down the secretion of insulin and avoids something called ‘Hyperinsulinemia’.

Myo-Inositol is extremely well tolerated and the added Alpha-Lactalbumin found in Inofolic Alpha, helps with the absorption of the Inositol.

Alpha-Lactalbumin is a milk whey protein which helps with chronic inflammation and abnormal gut microbiome usually found in patients with PCOS or metabolic imbalance.

Inofolic Alpha is the only supplement to combine myo-inositol and alpha-lactalbumin.

Hyperinsulinemia means the amount of insulin in the blood is higher than what’s considered healthy. On its own, hyperinsulinemia isn’t diabetes. But hyperinsulinemia often is associated with type 2 diabetes. Insulin is a hormone that the pancreas makes.
